The Central Alberta chapter of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association is proud to announce the recipients of the 2012 Awards of Excellence in Housing Awards presented by Wolf Creek Building Supplies Ltd. – Tim-br Mart Lacombe.

The Awards of Excellence in Housing celebrates innovation, creativity and excellence in the residential construction industry in the Central Alberta Region. The Gala was held Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Sheraton Red Deer Hotel and Exhibition Centre with more than 550 people in attendance and a record number of submissions (135) from members vying for 25 awards.

Mason Martin Homes has been awarded the Builder of the Year Award (Large Volume), Bowood Homes has been awarded Builder of the Year Award (Small Volume), and Homestead Custom Carpentry has been awarded the Renovator of the Year Award. To win these prestigious awards, entrants were awarded points received for housing and/ or renovation projects entered in the CHBA-CA Awards of Excellence, in combination with results from home owner surveys and trade partner surveys.

In addition to the housing awards, the following President’s awards were also handed out: Rookie of the Year; Member of the Year; and the Gus Bakke Memorial Award for significant contribution to the association.
